The Big Issue farewells cheery Teresa

On Friday March 27, one of The Big Issue’s most popular vendors, Teresa, retired. It was an emotional day on Collins St in Melbourne for Teresa and her many loyal customers. Throughout the day dozens of business men and women paid respect to the familiar and cheerful face they have been buying The Big Issue from for almost eight years, leaving bunches of flowers, bags of chocolates and bringing tears to the eyes of all of us here at The Big Issue office.
From everyone at The Big Issue we thank Teresa for her long standing commitment to selling the magazine and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

I bought the magazine from you for five years on my way to work at ICLEI until I moved away. I still get the magazine home delivered and think of you everytime I read it. Your smile pulled me out of many a dull mood on the way to the office.
