As well as buying a copy each fortnight and stopping to chat with a vendor, there are many ways to get involved in The Big Issue community.

Businesses can advertise, become a sponsor or an in-kind supporter to assist with events and fundraising. Individuals can volunteer to help out in the offices or with the vendor support, make a donation or bequest, or become a friend of The Big Issue.

Maybe you could have a vendor pitch in the foyer of your building.

Be Part of the Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup

From 30 November to 7 December 2008 at Federation Square and Birrarung Marr, Melbourne will play host to 60 international teams in this spectacular competition. Street soccer is a four-a-side, scaled-down version of soccer that’s played at a blistering pace and is incredibly exciting to watch.

Learn about the wider world in our special project to involve schools with the Homeless World Cup. Raise money to support payers and teams that would otherwise struggle to get here. Volunteers also will be an essential part of our event team.
